Bio:

Rethor's parents were assassinated shortly after he was born. The Assassin who killed his parents didn't have the heart to kill the baby , so he left Rethor at small campsite , filled with Rangers.

Their Leader , Berethor , Decided to take him in and train him to be an archer , like him. To this day he continues to wander with Berethor and the group of Rangers.

Rethor is a friendly person , but very full of himself. He is very skilled with a bow and arrow, He was thought by Berethor.

He never knew who his parents were , nor did Berethor

Time: Medieval ages.
Story:

The lands of Gallione and Goltana had a long standing unity in the country of Ivalice. They were by far the largest of the 2 territories united by a King. King Zalera. He unified the 2 countries and stopped the war.
But he fell ill. He was an elderly man when he ascended to the unified throne and died at the age of 63.

After this the 2 countries began feuding over who should ascend to the throne. This led to a full on war between the 2 countries. It was a stale mate for many years. Although Gallione was bigger by quite a few thousand towns then Goltana.

But after each soldiers time serving in the war, they were discharged and completely forgot about. And after quite a bit of time they became enraged. Many of them turning to theivery and murder to get by each day to provide money for their families.

During this Era of turmoil in Gallione emerged an army against the Nobels...The Death Corps. The Death Corps was dedicated solely to providing equality for the commoners and nobels alike. And from this, emerged the Hokuten. A group of knights made to counter the Death Corps. Their warriors were trained in extreme prejudice against the Death Corps. No mercy, No life for them. Since it was primarily nobels who funded the Hokuten, their influence was great. Meaning that no matter what the soldiers wouldn't think that the Death Corps commoners were any good.

The war inside of Gallione raged for many years...

The Zalera's youngest son, Malakai Zalera, went so far as to betray his own blood line and family. He even went to the extreme of joining the Death Corps to help fight for the commoners equality.

And with the age he had, came his ability to see his brothers true colors. Conspiracy, murder, arson and many other grand scale crimes. But they were kept in the dark to keep up their name. To make it seem as though they were still perfect. In his life he had never really known his 2 brothers. Zell and Dycendarg. All he knew was that Dycendarg was supposed to ascend to the throne and unify the countries and that Zell was to lead Dycendargs personal guards.

But once he saw his brothers ways. He spoke to them and told them that the commoners were just the same as them. Human. But their brothers disagreed and told him their plan.

It was a sinister plot he learned of later on in his life. The 12 Zodiac stones. Stones said to contain the souls of gods. The story went something like this...:
"Those who command the 12 and become 1, will summon the fallen saint, Ajora."

After his speech to his brothers he left them and went to the death corps. He chose to help them fight for their rights, freedoms and most of all equality.

Later on Malakai had stopped the occurence of summoning St. Ajora. He went as far as he could in his life. He even had to kill his own family. His 2 brothers, Zell and Dycendarg. And even his younger sister...Alma. She had become the vessel for St. Ajora's reincarnation.

But Malakai stopped this occurnce in Murond, Death City...By sacrificing himself and the lives of his comrades to save the world.

This is the story of him and his allies...

Name: Malakai Zalera.
Age: 16 (At the start of the story which is where we are.)
Affiliation: Nobel, Hokuten.
Looks: Dark skinned, Long black hair often in a pony tail. Several tattoos across his body. Then a single large one that covers most of his back, sides and front of his torso. He has hazel eyes that change to brown.

Zodiac Sign: Gemini.
Birthdate: June 15th
Faith: 64
Class: Knight.
Quote: "You don't understand! Theres nothing that makes us and them different! Aren't we all flesh and blood? We're all brothers and sisters under the eyes of "God"! We shouldn't forget about those that fought for us in the war! We should lavish and cherish them! Because we're all human!"


Bio: Malakai grew up in the walls of the monastery while being trained by his brother, Zell, in the ways of combat and a knight. Teaching him honor and discipline. As he aged he showed mastery of the sword. After many years of being in the walls of the monastery he even attempted to learn magic. Learning a few spells but forgetting them quickly to master more hand to hand sword tecniques.

He is a quite boy. Usually questioning the way things are and can be a bit of a downer some times to people around him because of his realist views. He is not very accepting of death although he is a knight. He tends to sit in the library reading about the Zodiac story. Since he recently joined the academy as a cadet he has made a few friends.

He is in line to marry another nobel. Marlina Anakal from the desert province of Zeklaus. They are to be married soon. She is even in the same cadet squad as him. Luckily they get along and are close friends since they knew each other at a very young age.

He is usally quite excited to go out on missions and gain experience as a knight. But he never really shows it and is sometimes scared of being killed or seeing one of his friends killed.
